"Ms. Vanessa Wexler is an indispensible member of the Gracie Barra Colorado Springs Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy.  The first thing that I noticed about her was her enthusiasm and high level of determination.  She is a tenacious athlete and a skilled jiu-jitsu competitor with many medals to her name.  Vanessa has fought in the absolute weight divisions against women much larger than herself.  She has even competed in the men’s divisions, showing incredible heart in all of her matches.  Ms. Wexler was just as driven in her managerial duties at GBCS; she is a highly organized, multitasking machine.  I’ve worked with many good managers/program directors, but she is the best.  Vanessa is a self-starting, hard working individual with a gift for sales.

My name is Professor Bryan M. Waltz, and I am the owner/chief instructor at the Gracie Barra Jiu Jitsu Academy in Colorado Springs.  Ms. Vanessa Wexler is my right hand.  Her attitude is what sets her apart.  She is wonderful to work around.  The moment she walks through the front doors, she is smiling and positive.  She has an infectious, sunny disposition that puts everyone at ease.  Students, parents, and prospective customers get along famously with her right from the beginning!

Outside of jiu-jitsu, Ms. Wexler demonstrates solid moral virtues.  She volunteers at charities like Compassion International, and LuckyDog Rescue.  She sacrifices time out of her busy schedule to sponsor and correspond with a number of underprivileged children in foreign countries.

Ms. Vanessa Wexler would be an asset to any sponsor in any field.  My recommendation is to sponsor her!  It is very rare to find such a personable, intelligent athlete who is always willing to put in the extra effort.  Her hard work had breathed new life into my martial arts school.  She is an inspiration both in and out of the academy."

"As the head instructor of the Mixed Martial Arts program at Team Bombsquad West, I am pleased to write this letter of recommendation for Vanessa Wexler.

I have known Vanessa as a student of mine in the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu world since I met her in 2003.  During this time, I have come to appreciate her many fine qualities as I have watched her grow both as a competitor and an instructor.  Vanessa continues to have a very strong competition career, both in the fields of BJJ/Grappling and Mixed Martial Arts.  She headed up our women and children programs here at Champions Mixed Martial Arts where she quickly garnered the respect of her students and fellow instructors.  She has won several championships in grappling competitions all over the United States as well as her MMA debut via third round arm bar submission.

Vanessa has spent her training camps working on her weaknesses and devoted a lot of time and sweat to improve in those areas.  She has improved her footwork in the stand up area and finishes well with nice tight submissions.  She worked hard getting stronger and has greatly improved her quickness in dictating the direction of the match.  Vanessa has great patience and executes offense at will.  She is comfortable on her feet or on the ground.  I expect that she will be on the PREMIER female athletes in your area.

Ms. Wexler is a fine athlete and an outstanding individual.  She excels in the gym and looked upon for her leadership and experience.  She understands the value of goal setting and the importance of teamwork.  Vanessa has shown the ability to bounce back from adversity and is willing to put in extra time to improve on weaknesses.  She realizes that success can only be obtained through hard work and approaching each task with a positive attitude.  Please feel free to contact me if I can be of further assistance."
